4:00 p.m. Travel to Shelburne Farms

Shelburne Farms was created in 1886 by William Seward and Lila Vanderbilt Webb as a model agricultural

woodlands received Green Certification from the Forest Stewardship Council in 1998. Our grass-based dairy
supports a herd of 125 purebred, registered Brown Swiss cows. Their milk is transformed into our
award-winning farmhouse cheddar cheese right here on the property The tour will take approximately
1-1/2 hours and we will see an actual working farm which consists of 1,400 acres on Lake Champlain.
It is a National historic landmark. A step on guide - Dorothy Holly - will enter the bus and give us a
guided tour. We will first stop at the Inn and tour the gardens, then on the farm barn, the cheese making
