Value-added agriculture projects

Loan Guarantee: a 25 percent first loss guarantee is provided to lenders making loans for value added agricultural projects including loans for land, building, equipment or stock loans to cooperatives. Grant: A grant for up to $200,000 for projects that add value to agricultural products and impact rural communities. Grants are intended for pre-business startup expenses such as feasibility studies or business plans

New Generation Cooperative Incentive Tax Credit Program

Members investing in cooperatives involved in processing agricultural products.
State tax credit equal to 50 percent of members investment in eligible new generation cooperative. Maximum tax credit is $15,000. Tax credit can be applied against state income, franchise or banking taxes due; tax credits may be carried back three years and/or forward five years.

Agricultural Product Utilization Contributor Tax Credit Program

State tax credit equal to up to 100 percent of persons’ contribution to the Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority. Tax credit can be applied against state income, franchise or banking taxes due. Tax credits may be carried forward five years.
